It never fails.
Whenever we have a package delivered to casa de phillips the mailman always manages to deliver it during the start of nap time.
The scenario goes as follows:
*Dingdong*
(That is the sound of the doorbell at casa de phillips, in case you did not recognize it)
*Knock!Knock!Knock!*
( That is the sound of the mailman knocking. Loudly. Why one must knock and ring the doorbell is beyond me. I get it. There is mail being delivered. Our neighborhood is pretty calm and I do not fear theivery of pacakges in the 15 seconds it takes me to answer the door.)
*Shuffle, Shuffle, Shuffle*
(That is the sound of two children hurrying out of their rooms in fear that they have missed the chance to talk to a new, mysterious person that just announced their arrival at casa de phillips via knocking and door bell ringing.)
“Squeak…”
(The sound of me attempting to quietly open the front door and retrieve delivered packages without the children knowing I have opened the door.)
“??????”
(The sound of various questions the children start asking as to who came to the house? what did they bring? is rest time over? can they have a snack? did they get any mail?)
Yesterday this entire scenario played out in full…doorbell ringing, loud knock, children rushing from their rooms, a firestorm of questioning.
After little ones were tucked in bed and the mail lady was sent on her way, I opened the package.
This is what I found
